1.Precise Control of Oil Pressure and Flow Direction in the VVT System
It receives real-time electrical signals from the Engine Control Unit (ECU) and, through high-frequency reciprocating displacement of the internal central spool (response frequency up to 50Hz), accurately controls the pressure (adjustment range: 0.8-13bar) and flow path of high-pressure engine oil. Based on the engine’s real-time operating conditions (speed, load, and cooling water temperature), it precisely distributes oil to the "timing advance chamber" or "timing retard chamber" of the camshaft phaser, providing stable and controllable hydraulic power for camshaft phase adjustment. Ensuring a phase adjustment accuracy error of ≤±0.8°, it serves as the "hydraulic core" for the VVT system to achieve dynamic timing changes.


2.Dynamic Optimization of Camshaft Phase to Adapt to GM Models’ Power Characteristics

By regulating oil pressure to drive the rotation of the rotor inside the camshaft phaser, it changes the relative angle between the camshaft and crankshaft, thereby dynamically adjusting the intake valve opening/closing timing and valve overlap angle to match the dual usage scenarios of GMC and Chevrolet models ("daily commuting + high-speed cruising"):


·Low-speed and low-load conditions (urban congestion/start-up): Advances the intake valve opening time and increases the valve overlap angle to improve cylinder scavenging efficiency, boosting the engine’s low-speed torque by 7%-9% (e.g., for the Chevrolet Equinox 1.5T, torque at 1500rpm increases by approximately 25N·m), and optimizing power response during start-up lag and low-speed following;

·High-speed and high-load conditions (high-speed overtaking/full load): Retards the intake valve closing time and extends the intake stroke. Combined with the "variable-displacement oil pump" design of GM engines, this increases maximum power output (power increased by approximately 4%-6%) to meet power demands for high-speed overtaking or full-load driving, avoiding high-speed power attenuation.

·Valve Body Material: Made of high-strength die-cast aluminum alloy specified by GM (tensile strength ≥290MPa), with dual anti-rust treatment of "chromate passivation + epoxy resin coating," achieving salt spray corrosion resistance of 800 hours (vs. approximately 300 hours for aftermarket parts). It can withstand oil pressure above 13bar and extreme temperatures from -45℃ to 170℃ inside the engine;

·Spool and Seals: The spool is made of stainless steel (hardness ≥HV520) with excellent wear resistance; the seals are made of a composite material of oil-resistant and high-temperature-resistant fluororubber and nitrile rubber (temperature resistance range: -45℃~200℃), with strong resistance to oil sludge adhesion. It can effectively resist erosion from oil oxidation products and additives, avoiding pressure loss caused by seal failure.
Tests show that its service life can reach 90,000-110,000 kilometers under normal operating conditions, far exceeding the 40,000-60,000 kilometers of ordinary aftermarket parts, reducing the frequency of subsequent replacements and maintenance costs.
