1.Precisely Regulate Timing Oil to Ensure Efficient Operation of the VVT System
As the "oil control core" of the VVT system, it can receive pulse signals from the GM engine ECU in real time, and precisely adjust the oil volume and pressure flowing to the VVT actuator (camshaft adjuster) through the linear movement of the valve core:


·When the engine is at low-speed idle, it reduces oil supply to keep the valve timing in a "delayed" state, lowering pumping losses.

·When accelerating at high speed, it increases oil flow to drive the actuator to adjust the camshaft phase, realizing "advanced" valve timing. This ensures that the response speed of the VVT system is fully synchronized with the operating requirements of GM engines.


2.Enhance Engine Power Output & Responsiveness
Addressing the pain point of "low-speed torque lag" in GM turbocharged engines, this valve can complete oil flow switching within 0.3 seconds when the engine speed reaches 1,800rpm (the critical point for turbocharger engagement). It quickly drives the VVT actuator to adjust the intake valve timing, increasing the intake volume in advance before the turbocharger engages to make up for the lack of low-speed torque. At high speeds (5,000-6,000rpm), it precisely controls the oil pressure to maintain 0.8-1.0MPa, ensuring that the valve timing matches the high-speed combustion rhythm. This increases the maximum power output of GM 2.0T engines by 5%-8% and makes power connection smoother during acceleration.

Aiming at the "high-speed and high-load" operating characteristics of GM Ecotec engines (e.g., oil temperature can reach 120-150℃ and pressure peak at 1.2MPa under turbocharged conditions), the valve body is integrally formed from high-strength forged steel with a tensile strength of ≥800MPa, whose high-temperature deformation resistance is significantly superior to ordinary cast iron valves.
