As the "heart" of the engine’s cooling system, the pump uses power from the engine (via a belt or electric motor) to circulate coolant through the engine’s water jackets, turbocharger cooler, and radiator:
Absorb Engine Heat: Coolant flows through the cylinder block and head, absorbing heat generated by combustion and friction.
Dissipate Heat via Radiator: Heated coolant is pumped to the radiator, where it releases heat to the air (aided by the radiator fan).
Cool the Turbocharger: For the 2.0T engine’s turbocharger (a major heat source), the pump directs coolant through the turbo’s oil-cooler or water-cooler, preventing turbo overheating and extending its service life.
2. Support Rapid Engine Warm-Up (for Fuel Efficiency & Emissions)
During cold starts, the pump (especially electronic versions) reduces coolant flow to the radiator, allowing the engine to reach its optimal operating temperature (80–90°C) faster. This:
Lowers fuel consumption (cold engines have higher friction and incomplete combustion).
Reduces harmful emissions (unburned hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide are minimized at optimal temperatures).
Improves cabin heating speed in cold weather.
As an OE-level (Original Equipment) component, it is precisely designed to fit the Chery F4J21 2.0T engine’s cooling system interface, including bolt hole positions, coolant passage diameters, and connection points with hoses/thermostats. This eliminates issues like coolant leakage or inefficient circulation caused by mismatched aftermarket pumps, ensuring seamless integration with Jietu and Exeed models’ original cooling systems.
2. High-Temperature Resistance & Durable Materials
It adopts two key durable materials to withstand the harsh operating environment of 2.0T engines (which generate more heat than naturally aspirated engines):
Pump Housing: Made of glass-fiber reinforced nylon (PA66+GF30), which resists continuous high temperatures (up to 150°C) in the engine compartment and is immune to corrosion from coolant additives (e.g., ethylene glycol).
Shaft & Seal Assembly: Features a stainless steel shaft (for rust prevention) and a nitrile rubber (NBR) mechanical seal. The seal effectively blocks coolant leakage even under high pressure (up to 1.2 bar) and reduces wear from long-term rotation, extending the pump’s service life to 100,000–150,000 km (under normal maintenance).
