PRODUCT FUNCTIONS

1. Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Control to Improve Transmission Efficiency

One of the important functions of the A6MF2 transmission solenoid valve is to control the engagement and disengagement of the torque converter clutch of the A6MF2 transmission, which is crucial for reducing fuel consumption and improving driving comfort:

Smooth Engagement of TCC: When the vehicle speed exceeds 65km/h (such as highway driving), the TCU sends a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal to the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve gradually increases the oil pressure applied to the TCC, adjusting the pressure in 0.015bar increments. This ensures that the TCC engages smoothly without "judder" (a common problem with low-precision solenoid valves), eliminating slip between the torque converter's pump wheel and turbine wheel, and increasing transmission efficiency by 9-13%.

Intelligent Disengagement of TCC: During deceleration (such as when the vehicle is slowing down at a red light) or low-speed driving (vehicle speed below 25km/h), the solenoid valve quickly reduces the TCC oil pressure to disconnect the clutch, avoiding engine stalling. In the vehicle's "Eco Mode", it can appropriately delay the engagement of the TCC to prioritize driving comfort; in "Sport Mode", it accelerates the engagement of the TCC to enhance power response, meeting the different driving needs of users.

2. Shift Control to Ensure Precise Gear Changes

As a core shift execution component, the A6MF2 transmission solenoid valve cooperates with the TCU to control the engagement and disengagement of the clutch and brake in the transmission's planetary gear set, ensuring precise gear changes:

Oil Pressure Regulation for Shifting: During upshifting (such as shifting from 2nd gear to 3rd gear) or downshifting (such as shifting from 5th gear to 3rd gear during overtaking), the solenoid valve adjusts the oil pressure of the target clutch/brake according to the TCU's calculation of engine load, vehicle speed, and other parameters. For example, during full-throttle downshifting, it can increase the brake oil pressure to 9-11bar in 0.04 seconds, ensuring that the gear change is completed within 0.28 seconds, which is faster than the industry average of 0.5 seconds, improving the vehicle's power response.

Adaptive Compensation for Shifting: For vehicles with a mileage of more than 180,000 kilometers, due to the wear of the transmission clutch plate, the shift feel may become worse. The solenoid valve can, based on the shift time feedback from the TCU, increase the oil pressure by 0.6-1.2bar to compensate for the wear of the clutch plate, restoring the original shift feel and avoiding problems such as "soft shifting" and "late shifting" caused by wear.

APPLICATION
ADVANTAGES

1. Perfect Adaptation to A6MF2 Transmission System

The A6MF2 transmission solenoid valve is developed for the unique hydraulic control system and TCU (Transmission Control Unit) logic of the A6MF2 transmission, achieving full compatibility with the original transmission system. Unlike universal solenoid valves, it is calibrated according to the A6MF2 transmission's gear ratio design (with a first gear ratio of 4.438 and a sixth gear ratio of 0.693) and the torque output characteristics of matching engines (such as Hyundai's Theta II 2.0T engine). During rapid acceleration, it can respond to the TCU's pressure adjustment command within 0.07 seconds, avoiding the "shift delay" and "shift shock" problems that often occur when using non-original solenoid valves. In addition, its interface size (including an oil port diameter of 5.8mm and a mounting hole spacing of 26mm) is completely consistent with the A6MF2 transmission valve body, eliminating the need for secondary modification and ensuring a seamless fit with the original system.

2. Strong Environmental Adaptability for Diverse Working Conditions

Targeting the diverse usage scenarios of vehicles equipped with the A6MF2 transmission (including urban congestion, highway driving, and off-road conditions), this solenoid valve has optimized environmental resistance:

Wide Temperature Adaptation Range: The electromagnetic coil uses high-temperature resistant enameled wire (rated temperature class 180℃) and a copper-aluminum composite heat dissipation shell, which can work stably in extreme temperatures from -40℃ to 155℃. Compared with the industry average low-temperature resistance range (-35℃), it has a 5℃ advantage, ensuring reliable shifting performance even in cold northern winters. In high-temperature environments such as desert areas, the heat dissipation shell can quickly transfer the heat generated by the coil, preventing coil burnout due to overheating.

Excellent Contamination Resistance: A three-layer stainless steel filter screen (filtering precision of 15μm) is installed at the oil inlet, which can effectively intercept metal shavings, sludge, and other impurities generated by the wear of transmission components (such as planetary gears and clutches). The filter screen has a self-cleaning function. When the oil flows through, the centrifugal force can wash away some light impurities, and it can be disassembled and cleaned independently. Compared with solenoid valves without filters, it reduces the risk of valve core jamming caused by oil contamination by more than 80%.

Super Waterproof and Dustproof Performance: The electrical connector adopts IP68-level waterproof and dustproof sealing technology, with a silicone sealing ring that is resistant to aging and corrosion. Even in harsh environments such as wading (water depth up to 1.5m) and dusty roads, it can prevent water and dust from entering the connector, avoiding short circuits and poor contact of the electromagnetic coil.
