PRODUCT FUNCTIONS

The transmission valve body is a critical component in automatic and automated manual transmissions (AMTs), acting as the "control center" to regulate fluid flow, pressure, and gear shifts. Its key functions include:

Failure Protection Mechanism

It integrates a fault diagnosis system and a failure protection function. Through 3 sets of Hall-type speed sensors (NT/NC3/SP2), it monitors the speeds of the input shaft, intermediate shaft, and output shaft in real time. When an abnormality occurs, it automatically switches to the safe mode to avoid mechanical damage.

3.Modulating Shift Smoothness

·It adjusts pressure and fluid flow rates to ensure transitions between gears are smooth, reducing jerking or harshness that could damage components or discomfort passengers.

4.Adapting to Driving Conditions

·In modern transmissions, electronic control modules (ECMs) work with the valve body to optimize shifts for different scenarios, such as sport mode (faster shifts) or eco mode (fuel-efficient shifts).

5.Preventing Overpressure

·Safety valves within the body limit maximum pressure, protecting the transmission from damage caused by excessive hydraulic force.

APPLICATION
ADVANTAGES

1. Precise and Efficient Hydraulic Control System

Multi-Solenoid Direct Control Technology

The valve body integrates 9 high-performance solenoids (SL1-SL5, SLU, SLT, SL, SR), among which SL1-SL5 are large-flow linear solenoids. These solenoids can directly adjust the pressure of clutches and brakes without the need for transfer through pressure regulating valves. While reducing oil circuit loss, this design increases the shift response speed by 41%. The basic shift speed of the AA80E reaches 350ms, and can be further reduced to 100ms when combined with the SPDS sports shift device.

2. Reliability Design for Full-Scenario Adaptation

Wide-Range Lock-Up Technology

The AA81E is equipped with flexible lock-up clutch control. The torque converter can achieve lock-up at a low speed of 30km/h, with the lock-up time accounting for 60%-70%. This design increases the transmission efficiency to over 92% and reduces the comprehensive fuel consumption by 8%.

3.Low Energy Consumption and Easy Maintenance Advantages

User-Friendly Maintenance Design

The top of the valve body is equipped with an integrated inspection window, allowing inspection and replacement of core components such as solenoid valves and pressure switches without disassembling the entire transmission, shortening the maintenance time to less than 2 hours. Meanwhile, the valve body supports the OBD-II diagnostic protocol, enabling real-time data (such as oil pressure and solenoid valve status) to be read via dedicated diagnostic equipment. This facilitates quick location of fault points, reducing maintenance difficulty and costs. In addition, the recommended maintenance interval for the valve body is extended to 80,000 kilometers (compared to 60,000 kilometers for ordinary valve bodies), reducing the frequency of maintenance and the user's operating costs.
