1. Oil Circuit On-Off and Switching Control
After receiving the electrical signal from the Transmission Control Unit (TCU), the solenoid valve generates a magnetic field through the electromagnetic coil to drive the spool displacement, accurately controlling the opening and closing of the internal oil circuits of the transmission. During the gear-shifting process, it can quickly switch the oil circuit connection states of different clutches and brakes to realize the mechanical linkage of gear-shifting actions. For example, in the automatic transmission of the Toyota Corolla 1.8L model, it ensures the accurate switching of P/R/N/D gears by controlling the on-off of different oil circuits. For example, when the vehicle encounters a circuit abnormality, the solenoid valve quickly cuts off the non-essential oil circuits and locks the transmission in a safe gear, reducing driving risks.
